John W. Harford - Pennsville
Jack Harford graduated from Waynesboro HS in Pennsylvania where he excelled in Football,Wrestling and track. Following four years in the Navy ,Jack entered Gettsburg College and attained a degree in Physical Education and a Masters at East Stroudsburg Un captured 27 iversity. After Graduation Jack would go on to coach football(24 years) and wrestling (26 Years) with 22 years at Pennsville HS. Jack became the first South Jersey Coach to reach the 200 win plateau and had a record of 228 wins against 65 losses. His Pennsville teams would win 27 team championships and recorded 21 straight winning seasons, 3 undefeated teams and a 36 match winning steak. Between 1965-71 his teams were 57-1. He has produced 3 NJSIAA Champions,2 state runner-ups,3 third place medalists. Jack served as the Region 8 President and on the Executive Committee of the South Jersey Hall of Fame. Jack was a great coach but an equally fine gentlemen who helped promote South Jersey wrestling throughout his life.
Lt.Colonel John Suter - Paulsboro
Jack Suter graduated from Paulsboro HS in 1971 where he was a four year letterman and a District & Regional Champion. team Captain and State qualifier his senior year,he finished the regular season undefeated losing only in the State Tournament. After Paulsboro he would attend the United State Naval Academy where he would compete on the varsity level.Upon graduation Jack would move to Pensacola,Florida for Naval Air Training Command and recieve his wings as a Marine CH-53 Helicopter pilot. Suter was selected for duty with the Presidential Helicopter Squadron as the White House Aircraft Commander where his duties included flying President Reagan, VP George Bush and other diplomatic dignitaries . Future tours found Suter in the Middle East during Desert Storm then to Japan,Korea and the Philippines. Jack has flown over 6,000 hours and qualified in nine different military aircraft during his career. His personal decorations include Air Medal with Strike Flight #2,two Meritous Service Medals,and 3 Navy-Marine Commendation Medals. Suter recieved the Sikorsky Rescue Award and the Presidential Service Badge.Lt Colonel Jack Suter retired in 2004 after 33 years of service to his country.
