Ernie Finizio - Roselle Park & NJSIAA
Ernie Finizio has been active in sports since he wrestled at Roselle Park H.S. for the legendry coach Pug Williams. A graduate of Seton Hall University, Ernie returned home to coach Roselle Park to a 46-13 record over the next six years. Moving into the position of Principal of Aldene School (currently Finizio/Aldene School) was the first stop in Ernie's administrative career which included Roselle Park Superintendent of Schools, Assistant Director and Project Mananger for the NJSIAA. An outstanding official in eight H.S. Sports, Ernie worked the State Wrestling finals for 10 years before taking over the job of Tournament Director of the NJSIAA Wrestling Tournament,a position he held for 24 years.
Mike Schibanoff - Bound Brook & NJWOA
A 1935 graduate of Freehold H.S., Mike Schibanoff Coached at Thomas Jefferson H.S. and Bound Brook for 19 years. His major contribution to wrestling is centered in the area of officiating both in NJ and on a National level. He was the first President of the NJ Wrestling Officialsand Coaches Association and served as a member of the EIWA Officials Assn. Mike was a mainstay at the State Tournament and served as both the NJ Rules Interpreter and Chief Official until his retirement. Mike is also the author of the 1st wrestling rules book for Interscholastic Wrestling in the USA.
