Paul Mauriello
A 1960 Graduate of Edgewood Regional HS,Paul's association with wrestling would span five decades. After graduating from Temple Univerity Paul would serve two years at Edgewood as an assistant Coach before being appointed head coah at Overbrook Regional. For the next 35 years he would make Overbrook a South Jersey power recording an overall record of 373-221-6 which included 10 Holiday,6 District,five Conference and two South Jersey Group 3 Championships. On an individual level he coached 93 Holiday,64 District,and 14 Region Champions as well as three State Champions and 8 top four medalists.He is currently assisting his son at Hammonton High School. Paul also coached Football under his brother Larry for 41 years and 34 years as an assistant in baseball. A member of the NJWOA for 30 years, Paul was select Region 8 Coach of the Year three times and served as Region President of the NJWCA. Paul was inducted into the South Jersey Wrestling Hall of Fame, the NJ Football Coaches Hall of Fame,and the Lower Camden County Hall of Fame and was awarded the Harry E.Lake Award in 2000. Paul lives in Winslow Twp. with his wife Janet and their children, Janet Tropp,and sons Michael and David
Gary Vittorio
A graduate of Watertown HS and the State University of NY at Cortland Gary moved south in 1960 to start the wrestling program at Parsippany High School in NJ. He retired in 1985 after producing a record of 201-104-5 which inluded 8 Conference,4 District and 9 Holiday Championships. His 1977 team was ranked #7 in NJ. His wrestlers notched 55 Holiday,48 District,9 Region, and 2 State Champions as well as 5 other State medalists. His 1970 State Heavyweight Champion,Roy Baker would go on to National Hall of Fame status. Gary was a team leader in 1979 with a Polish exchange team and served as Region President for the NJWCA. he also was a founder of the Morris County and Parsippany Holiday Tournaments. Gary was induced into the Parsippany HS,Morris County and Region 3 Halls of Fame and was elected Coach of the year in both District 9 & Region 3 during his career. Retired with his wife of over 50 years,Joan they spend time with their children,Julie,Lynn,Steve,and Jeff as well as 11 grandchildren
